Jesse Hightower (Bass), Kevin Simonds (Drums), and Adam Weintrop (Guitar)

We formed from the dying embers of other bands in 2008 in a Beltsville, Maryland basement. With Greg on trombone and Jesse on bass messing around with song fragments while chugging Molsons, we were originally called No Dice. The name stemmed from an old Simpsons joke about Charles Bronson. Our common interests in playing ska/punk united us with Kevin on drums and various guitar players named Ben until we found guitar-hero Adam on Craigslist who took over the 6 strings. Trombonist Kenny and Sarah on the alto sax augmented the horn section for a few years until they eventually decided to go in different directions.

Jesse, Kevin, and Adam strove to continue rocking. As a 3-piece we re-branded ourselves and became Interstate Rivals, continuing to play all over the DC and Baltimore area. Influenced by 90's underground acts such as Less Than Jake, The Hippos, MU330, NOFX, et al, we made up our own genre of post-ska/punk and evolved from a horn-driven sound to a polished but beer-fueled onslaught of catchy tunes. We're a versatile band able to adapt to a ska or punk bill, catering to a variety of audiences.
